PLEASE READ
These Terms & Conditions apply when you browse or place an order through our website. By placing an order, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to read these terms. Nothing here removes any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. If you are buying for a business, some provisions may differ depending on whether the purchase is made for business or personal purposes.
About These Terms
This website is operated by PEERLESS GLOBE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13092055. We supply socks to individual customers and trade buyers, including independent shops and online sellers.
These terms should be read alongside the information displayed on the relevant product page, your order confirmation and our published Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return and Exchange Policy.
Where a specific order confirmation contains an agreed detail that differs from a general description on this website, we will consider the order confirmation and the applicable terms together. Any change to an accepted order must be agreed with us.
Products and Descriptions
Our range includes everyday crew socks, ankle socks, trainer socks, dress socks, multipacks, sports socks and other styles shown on the website. Product pages provide the available details, including pack quantity, material information, colour, sizing and price where applicable.
We take reasonable care to present product information accurately. However, colours can appear slightly different depending on your screen, display settings and lighting. Images may also show a product from a particular angle or as part of a presentation.
Please check the product description and selected options before completing your order, particularly where a listing offers different sizes, quantities or pack configurations.
Any availability indication is based on the information available to us when the page is updated. If an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we will contact you to discuss the available options.
Prices, Delivery Charges and Payment
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£), unless a listing expressly states otherwise. The price applicable to your purchase is the one shown at checkout before you submit your order.
Standard delivery is free for eligible UK orders. If a particular destination or delivery arrangement falls outside the standard service, any applicable additional charge will be shown or explained before you commit to the purchase.
Payment must be completed using a payment method made available at checkout. You are responsible for providing accurate billing and contact details and for ensuring that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.
We do not treat an order as paid simply because an order submission has been attempted. If a payment is declined, interrupted or remains unconfirmed, the order may remain pending until the payment status has been clarified.
If a clear pricing or listing error is discovered before an order is accepted, we will take reasonable steps to contact you and explain the available options. If payment has already been taken for an order that cannot be fulfilled at the agreed price, any refund due will be processed without undue delay.
Placing and Accepting an Order
Before submitting an order, please check the items, quantities, selected options, delivery details and total amount. You can correct mistakes before completing checkout.
An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order details. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted or dispatched.
Order acceptance will normally be confirmed through our order processing or dispatch communications. We may need to contact you if an item is unavailable, an essential detail is missing or an apparent order error needs clarification.
If we cannot fulfil an order and payment has been taken, we will arrange a refund for the amount due. We will not knowingly substitute a materially different product without explaining the change and obtaining your agreement where required.
If you notice an error after placing an order, please contact us promptly. We will try to help, but a change or cancellation cannot be guaranteed once the order has entered preparation or dispatch.
Wholesale and Trade Orders
Peerless Globe supplies socks in bulk to trade customers, including independent retailers and online sellers. The applicable product description, quantity, price and delivery arrangement will be confirmed through the website or the agreed order documentation.
Where a trade order is discussed separately, any agreed minimum quantities, volume pricing, dispatch arrangements or other order-specific conditions should be confirmed in writing before the order is accepted.
Trade customers should check the pack quantities, product specifications and delivery details carefully before confirming a bulk purchase.
Consumer cancellation rights do not automatically apply to purchases made wholly or mainly for business purposes. Business buyers should refer to the terms agreed for their particular order. This distinction does not remove any rights that may apply under other relevant law.
Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, trade customers should not assume that consumer-specific return arrangements apply to bulk orders.
Dispatch and Delivery
Order preparation
For in-stock products, our usual dispatch target is within 1–3 working days after the order has been accepted and payment confirmed. Working days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in England.
Orders placed late in the day, on weekends or on public holidays generally begin processing on the next working day. Orders requiring clarification or involving unavailable items may take longer.
Delivery estimates
Usual dispatch target
The usual preparation and dispatch timeframe for in-stock orders, counted in working days after acceptance and payment confirmation.
Estimated transit time
An indicative UK delivery estimate after dispatch, where the selected service supports this timeframe. Carrier availability and destination may affect actual delivery.
When to contact us about a delay
If tracking has not updated for 5 working days after dispatch, or the parcel has not arrived within the stated delivery estimate, contact us so we can investigate.
These timings are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless a specific delivery commitment has been expressly agreed. We will provide reasonable assistance if a parcel is delayed or appears to have been lost.
Please ensure that your delivery details are correct. If an order cannot be delivered because the information supplied is incorrect or incomplete, we may need to discuss redelivery or other reasonable arrangements. This does not limit any legal rights you may have.
Where a delivery deadline is essential or a delay gives you a legal right to cancel, the applicable statutory rules and any agreed delivery commitment will apply.
Order Cancellation and Returns
Eligible consumers purchasing online generally have 14 calendar days from the day after receiving their goods to notify us that they wish to cancel under the applicable distance-selling rules.
After notifying us, you generally have a further 14 calendar days to return the goods under that cancellation process. Certain statutory exceptions may apply depending on the nature of the goods and the circumstances.
To request a return, email noreply@peerlessglobe.com with your order number, the item concerned and a brief explanation. Please wait for the return instructions before sending your parcel.
Our first eligible return or exchange per order qualifies for free return postage under our published policy. For later change-of-mind returns, postage arrangements are considered individually and explained before you proceed.
If goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, we will handle the matter in line with applicable consumer law and cover return costs where legally required or agreed as part of the resolution.
Full details, including eligibility, hygiene-related exceptions, return steps and postage arrangements, are set out in our Return and Exchange Policy.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refund processing
Where a statutory cancellation refund is due, we will refund the relevant amount without undue delay and within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first, subject to the applicable legal rules.
Refunds are normally made to the original payment method. After a refund is issued, the bank or payment provider may require additional time to display the funds. A typical estimate is 5–10 business days, although actual timing varies.
Refund amount
A full statutory cancellation refund generally includes the price of the cancelled goods and the applicable basic outbound delivery charge, where one was paid. As standard delivery is free, there is normally no standard delivery charge to reimburse. Additional premium delivery charges may be treated differently as permitted by law.
Where only part of an order is returned, the refund generally relates to those items and any other amount legally due. Any deduction for diminished value must be permitted by law and assessed on the circumstances.
Exchanges
Exchanges depend on stock availability. We will confirm the replacement option and any applicable postage arrangements before proceeding. If the requested replacement is unavailable, we will discuss an alternative or issue a refund where one is due.
Please refer to our Return and Exchange Policy for the detailed refund timetable and the procedures that apply to individual requests.
Acceptable Website Use
You may use this website to browse our products, make purchases and access information about our business, provided that your use is lawful and does not interfere with the website or other users.
You agree not to:
- knowingly provide false order, payment or contact information;
- attempt to interfere with the website’s operation, checkout or security;
- use automated methods to place orders or collect information in a way that is unlawful or unauthorised;
- copy or commercially reuse website content, photographs or product descriptions without permission where permission is required;
- use the website in connection with activity that breaches applicable law.
We may take reasonable steps to protect the website, investigate suspected misuse and restrict access where there is a legitimate reason to do so. Any action will remain subject to applicable law and contractual rights.
Liability and Important Limitations
We take reasonable care in presenting our products, processing orders and arranging delivery. However, some matters, such as carrier transit times, bank processing and temporary website interruptions, may be outside our direct control.
Where an external service causes a delay or interruption, we will take reasonable steps to assist where appropriate. This does not automatically remove our responsibilities for the parts of the order or service for which we are legally responsible.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been anticipated when the relevant contract was made, or for losses that arise solely from circumstances unrelated to our breach of contract. The application of these principles depends on the particular circumstances and the type of customer.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for matters where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law. This includes applicable statutory consumer rights and any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If you are purchasing as a consumer, you retain the protections provided by applicable UK consumer law. If you are purchasing for business purposes, any limitation of liability will apply only to the extent that it is lawful, reasonable and applicable to the relevant contract.
Privacy and Personal Information
When you place an order, we use relevant information to process the purchase, arrange delivery, respond to enquiries, manage returns and meet applicable legal obligations.
Information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection requirements. The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why it is used, how long it may be retained and the rights that may apply.
Please make sure that the contact and delivery details supplied at checkout are accurate and up to date. If you need to correct information connected with an order, contact us using the details in Section 13.
Changes, Applicable Law and Disputes
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our services, order procedures or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights or vary an existing accepted order without an appropriate legal basis or agreement.
Website availability
We aim to keep the website accessible and product information up to date. From time to time, maintenance, technical problems or external service interruptions may affect availability. We will take reasonable steps to address issues that come to our attention.
Complaints and resolution
If something has gone wrong with an order, please contact us first with your order number and a description of the issue. We will review the information and explain the next steps.
We aim to acknowledge customer enquiries within 2 working days and normally provide a substantive response within 5 working days. If a matter needs additional investigation, we will let you know. These are service targets rather than a restriction on your legal rights.
Applicable law
These terms are generally governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal protections that apply to consumers in other parts of the United Kingdom or elsewhere.
Any dispute will be handled in accordance with applicable law. Consumers may have the right to bring proceedings in the courts available under the relevant consumer jurisdiction rules.
